Flowers come with a same day delivery promise and the only exclusions to this are very remote areas in which delivery to these places is still quite fast considering their remote locations.

Many remote islands such as Dauan Island and the Dampier Archipelago still offer delivery services. A list of these areas is available on the Ready Flowers website so that you can easily find out how long it will take for your delivery to be received.

Ready Flowers also offers the ability to make an order high priority so your special gift will be received at the most convenient time. Ready Flowers offers you the easiest way to deliver flowers. Larger items such as gifts baskets or orders that include items such as wine and other gourmet hampers are also quickly delivered with some areas still being able to receive same or next day delivery, with the majority of areas only needed 48 hours to be delivered.

With more remote areas such as Western Australia the delivery will usually take less than 5 working days. This ability to deliver quality gifts in such a short amount of time is why Ready Flowers stands out from the competition when it comes to delivery standards as well as delivery speed.

The same attention to speed is also paid to the rest of the Ready Flowers range such as chocolate bouquets - which are available to be sent to many places with same or next day delivery. A maximum time of 48 hours delivery is set for further areas within Australia. Cookies, cakes and muffins are ensured for next day delivery as long as the order is before 3 p.m AEST, and the line of new baby gifts is usually about 48 hours as well.

Enjoy the Benefits of Flowers

Flowers are an essential part of any home. They can help set the tone of a room as well as express our own personality to those around us. However beyond their beauty and fragrance lie benefits that most will not even realise..

Household plants such as flowers have been scientifically proven not only to be beneficial to the environment by absorbing carbon dioxide but they can also improve the condition of a home making it more comfortable for its occupants. Flowers have the ability to remove airborne contaminants that build up due to the amount of time that we spent indoors, whether it is at work or at home. Flowers also help to control the humidity in a room keeping it at an optimum level for human health and well being.

Studies at Harvard University show that flowers feed our sense of compassion for others as well as help relieve feelings of anxiety, stress and depression. It was also discovered that flowers can help to improve feelings of energy and enthusiasm which can carry over from home to the workplace. These effects have made them the ideal gifts for those we love as well as ourselves.

Flowers are best placed in the areas of the home where we spend the majority of our time such as the dining room, living room or kitchen. This allows you to fully experience the tranquillity they bring both to the room and yourself. It is truly amazing that something so often believed to be nothing more than a household decoration can have so many benefits both aesthetically and emotionally.

A Consumer's Guide To Online Flower Delivery

Finding the right gift for a special occasion can be a daunting task. However, a gift of flowers or plants is always appropriate. These days, florist websites offer easy selection, purchase and most importantly, same-day flower delivery.
Prior to 1998, florists, supermarkets and garden supply stores were often the only place to purchase flowers for an occasion. However, the advent of Internet commerce has seen florist websites grow by more than 20 percent per year. For a while it looked like the Internet was going to kill off the familiar bricks-and-mortar florist shop until online delivery services became partners with local florists. Now the combination of online ordering and florist associations has proved to be a major boon for both consumers and the cut flower industry.
When selecting online delivery, it's smart to decide in advance what you're seeking. Most floral websites, such as Ready Flowers, are divided into categories to make it easy to find the right arrangement. There are separate web pages for romantic occasions such as Valentine's Day or an anniversary, life events like birthdays, new babies, get well and sympathy, as well as sections for congratulations and corporate gifts. Consumers can also shop by price, type of flower or plant, or even brand names.
One of the key advantages to shopping online for floral arrangements is that of speedy delivery. Last-minute shoppers can find same-day flower delivery at virtually all online florists, provided the shopper meets the vendor's order deadline. If same-day delivery isn't possible, most floral gifts can be delivered by the following day, often first thing in the morning. What's more, most sites can help shoppers avoid a last-minute shopping rush by providing a free calendar service that will send the buyer email reminders in advance of an important event such as Mum's birthday or a wedding anniversary.
Customer satisfaction also is a top priority for the bulk of online florists. Various kinds of guarantees stand behind an online florist's performance. For example, Ready Flowers will replace any unsatisfactory arrangement with one of equal or greater value if the customer isn't happy with the produce. Some websites offer money-back guarantee, or a "lifespan" guarantee promising that the arrangement will be attractive for a certain time period, usually about a week.
In addition to products, many florist websites provide FAQs (frequently asked questions) and blogs with advice on which blooms to choose for certain occasions. This floral advice can be enormously helpful when trying to convey congratulations on a big promotion, thank-you to a host or hostess, or a corporate gift to show appreciation for a business relationship. Many of these choices also come in unusual displays, such as blossoms arranged like a football, a birthday cake or other symbolic shape.
Finally, most online flower delivery services offer gifts in addition to plants and blooms. There are balloon bouquets, stuffed animals, jewelry, and food baskets containing fruit, tea, biscuits or candy. Such creative alternatives make it possible to select a truly unique and inspiring expression of affection or appreciation.

Royal Wedding Revived Symbolic Bridal Bouquets

The recent wedding of Prince William and Catherine Middleton has revived a tradition that goes back to the time of the prince's five-times-great-grandmother, Queen Victoria: creating a bridal bouquet from flowers that have symbolic meanings to the bride and groom.

According to a press release from Buckingham Palace, the former Catherine Middleton, now HRH the Duchess of Cambridge, choose floral designer Shane Connolly to create her shield-shaped wedding bouquet. The new duchess' bridal posy included myrtle, lily-of-the-valley, sweet William and hyacinth. The flowers and their symbolic meanings are:

· Sweet William: Gallantry (and a nod to the groom)
· Lily-of-the-valley: Return of happiness
· Ivy: Fidelity; marriage; wedded love; friendship; affection
· Hyacinth: Constancy of love
· Myrtle: the emblem of marriage; love.

Among the flowers were stems from myrtle tree planted by Queen Victoria at her family retreat, Osborne House on the Isle of Wight in 1845. Also in her bouquet was a sprig grown from myrtle used in Queen Elizabeth II’s wedding bouquet of 1947.

Queen Victoria began the tradition of carrying myrtle after she was given a nosegay with the flowering plant when she visited Prince Albert's grandmother at Gotha in Germany. The queen planted a sprig from the posy at Osborne House, where it still grows today. Queen Victoria's eldest daughter, HRH Princess Victoria, carried myrtle in her bouquet when she married Prince Frederick William of Prussia in 1857. Myrtle is said to signify the bride's innocence.

While few bridal couples have such a distinguished floral heritage on which to draw, there is one thing common to all weddings: what flowers are most available during the season of the wedding ceremony. The seasonal nature of cut flowers often makes flower delivery more difficult if the bride chooses blossoms that are out of season in her area.

While many varieties of blossoms are now grown in heated greenhouses to make them available more months out of the year, it is more common that out-of-season blooms are shipped from global regions with different growing seasons. In addition, bulb plants are refrigerated to encourage them to bloom out of season. These options all require more energy for growing and more fuel for transportation, making out-of-season blossoms one of a bride's most expensive options.

Instead of choosing such unnaturally grown blooms, a wise bride will look to her floral consultant to guide her in selecting seasonal blossoms for her wedding. Not only will this option be less expensive, the selected blossoms will be more robust and durable, ensuring that bridal bouquets and floral displays will look spectacular throughout the nuptial celebrations.

In addition, there are certain types of blooms that have shown themselves to be more able to stand up to the stresses of weddings. Among the 10 most popular wedding flowers are Calla Lilies, Casablanca Lilies, Gardenias, Hydrangeas, Lilacs, Lily of the Valley, Orchids, Roses, Stephanotis, and Tulips. Virtually all of these varieties are extremely fragrant, so a little goes a long way. What's more, although most of them can be available year-round, their price, condition and durability may fluctuate widely. It's best always to work closely with your florist for best selection.

No matter if you're selecting flowers for a wedding or a dozen roses to say, "I love you," Ready Flowers can provide the most reliable flower delivery of any online florist in Australia.

History of Giving Flowers and Flower Delivery for Flowers Australia Wide!

Did you know that giving flowers and flower delivery has a long and interesting history? Ready Flowers Australia reports that while we can't know for sure, many are convinced that the tradition of giving flowers goes back even as far as prehistoric times. Evidence of the very early recognition by humans of the power and beauty of giving gifts of flowers exists, as archeologists have found flower remnants in some very, very old grave sites. (Don't worry, at Ready Flowers Australia we use only the freshest flowers – nothing prehistoric!)

During the early beginning of recorded history we again have evidence of flower giving, for example in Egyptian hieroglyphics, in very early Chinese writings, and also in the Ancient mythology of the Greek and Roman civilisations. (Whether there was any flower delivery in these days is something that Ready Flowers Australia don't know – those chariots would probably have shaken a nice arrangement of flowers into something resembling a salad.)

Ancient history aside, perhaps the real beginning of flower giving as we know it today was in the Middle Ages, where flowers where given as tokens of affection by lovers. In a conservative society, Ready Flowers Australia has heard that the particular flowers in the flower delivery could act as a secret message from the giver to the recipient. Flower delivery as an early form of the text message, then, with perhaps a little more subtlety and a lot more beauty!

Also in the Middle Ages came the custom of giving flowers in the theatre. There arose a belief that flowers on the stage (whether or not the result of a flower delivery gone wrong) were bad luck, and that only the giving of flowers to the leading lady (who Ready Flowers Australia thinks could well have in fact been a man) would bring good luck rather than bad to the production.

Then in the 1700s, the idea of flowers-as-message was developed further in Sweden, where a king of theirs brought back the idea to Sweden from what was then Persia (now Turkey). Allegedly the practice of encoding messages was in Turkey so developed that it was used by the military. Flowers were sent as messages, because if they were intercepted by the enemy it would be very unlikely that the enemy would suspect any kind of message at all. (At Ready Flowers Australia we guarantee that if our flower delivery is intercepted by the enemy, our delivery people will never talk!)

Since the 1700s, beginning in fact in Victorian times, many, many books have been published on the meaning of flowers, and Ready Flowers Australia can say with confidence that is where many of our modern customs today in giving flowers come from (for example, red roses for lovers). Of course, rules were meant to be broken, but for certain occasions in flower delivery tradition is the best way to go (roses are a perfect example of this).

Well, at Ready Flowers Australia we hope you have learnt something about flowers and history from this. Think about it next time you arrange a flower delivery!
